I can honestly say Dr. Toriumi saved the quality of my life. He was recommended to me by an ENT who found I had a collapsed septum after two failed rhinoplasty surgeries by a Chicago area plastic surgeon. I consulted with the ENT because I was lightheaded and dizzy from an inability to breathe through my nose. After his thorough exam of my nasal passages, the ENT immediately said, “Who did this to you? There is only one surgeon who can fix it.” He called Dr. Toriumi’s office and made an appointment for me within a week. 

As I walked into the offices of Dr. Toriumi, I felt very nervous and desperate. I had been through two difficult surgeries resulting in disfigurement and a collapsed septum. The warmth of the staff and demeanor of Dr. Toriumi set me at ease. I was amazed by the diverse group of patients in the waiting room. Some were from out of state with suitcases in hand, some were very young and others were quite older. All spoke in the same theme—Dr. Toriumi is the best. 

As soon as I met the doctor, the psychological healing process began for me. He spoke with confidence about correcting my condition. My wishes and dreams were paramount to him. Photos were taken and computer generated pictures were presented to me for my approval. Changes were made based on my desires. I felt so comfortable with him that I decided to have blepharoplasty at the same time (excess skin removed from below my eyes.) 

The results were a dream come true. I can breathe and my appearance is just as he projected. The post op care continues with the same concern as shown in my first appointment. Since my successful surgery, I have recommended Dr. Toriumi to several friends and family. In my opinion, he has magical hands and a unique and caring bedside manor. He has given me a breath of fresh air.

Patient that presents with a deviated nose with severe loss of nasal tip support. She also disliked her bulbous nasal tip. Her nasal obstruction was severe and making breathing very difficult.

I was told by multiple specialists I consulted in Europe that a nasal reconstruction would be too complicated, and that they could not do anything for me. Fortunately, the last plastic surgeon I saw suggested in no uncertain terms that I should put myself in the hands of Dr. Toriumi. Well, that turned out to be the best advice I have ever received! Before Dr. Toriumi, I really thought I was destined to end up with the nose of a boxer, not to mention a lifetime of breathing problems and sinus infections. Patient that underwent a previous rhinoplasty with right sided nasal obstruction and lack of tip definition.

I had my first rhinoplasty procedure when I was 20 years old. At that time, I was after the aesthetic appeal and looking for more definition in the tip. Ultimately, I did not get the results I wanted and needed a revision procedure. As I did not want to go through multiple procedures, I spent hundreds of hours on the Internet and phone while researching, interviewing and consulting with different surgeons and staff. Seven years later, I discovered Dr. Toriumi's practice. I did not have to wait for a year for a consultation (which was the case with the many surgeons featured on the shows, such as Dr. 90210) and the process was very straightforward and well-planned: consultation, fees/invoice, surgery date - all set within a week's time. My procedure was completed within 45 days of initial consultation. It worked extremely well for me as I am a professional who works 70-100 hours a week. My procedure was long and involved a rib graft. However, I had no bruising and was able to return to work within two weeks. 

I live out of state. And I am now 14 months post-operative. I enjoy the appearance of my nose and am fascinated by the continued changes. This patient presents for primary rhinoplasty. She underwent dorsal hump reduction and correction of her bulbous nasal tip. She also underwent chin augmentation to help balance her lower face with the nose.

Due to the worsening of my deviated septum condition at the beginning of 2010 I had to start contemplating the possibility of surgery even if my June wedding date was approaching. I have been referred to Dr. Toriumi from a friend and that turned out to be the best advice I have ever received.
